If you didn't use the disc method then double click the Software Restore application in your Utilities folder.ĩ. Garageband is awsome and very addictive and great for when you don't have much work to do. ITunes is great like always, only problem I found is that iTunes can't always find the information on songs when you insert an audio disk. ILife 04 is great, especially for the designer who needs to use it every day of the week, I work almost everyday with all the applications in iLife, but I found a couple of minor things that still needs to be perfected by apple: using iPhoto is great to quickly get your images off your digital camera and print them out with out any hassles, but sometimes iPhoto don't like all kinds of cameras like the Canon SD100 sometimes don't want to work with iPhoto and let it quit unexpectedly! The only solution I found is to use a media card reader, they work great!
Other than the issues that I've mentioned. I haven't used the other iApps but I started up DVD and all seemed fine. Looks like they just want you to use Aperture. I KNOW I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO'S BEEN BEGGING FOR THIS. STILL NO SUPPORT FOR SUB FOLDERS!!! YOU CAN MAKE SUBFOLDERS BUT IT WILL NOT IMPORT THE NICELY ORGANIZED PHOTO LIBRARY YOU HAVE. I didn't read any instructions and built a new website in 20 min. I have not had any issues with this application at all.

Garageband: This app runs fine until you push the media button on the right side of the window. did the same thing on existing projects too. I loads 80 percent of the "new project" and then crashes. I've also repaired all my disk permissions as well. I've deleted everything on my computer concerning iMovie and reinstalled several times. I love all the new features in iLife'06 but it's very very unstable. If you are not ordering books, or are not slideshow heavy maker - just stick to iPhoto'09 and spend that money on anything else. In my opinion paying $49 for couple of new slideshow themes and new books formats (which I can't order as Apple do not sell to my country at all) is just pointless. Not single new/enhanced effect! All editing is untouched comparing to previous version (only with changed UI) Secondly - there is single change to photo editing tools.
Amazing, how nice idea can be done so wrong. There is no way to turn off distracting buttons and sliders. Now it is changed to non resizable bar to the right of your screen.

iPhoto'11 is just rebuild interface of previous version with "better" full screen mode, which in fact gives you SMALLER preview of photo you are working on than it was before! With iPhoto'09 all tools were located on sliding in/out toolbars. This should be a real shame for Apple for releasing such memory hungry applications with ancient technology.Īlso, iPhoto'11 looks "new", but in fact all what changed are new slideshow themes and new ways to socialise your ugly face photos on Facebook or Flickr. I am highly disappointed with current release of iLife mostly because of untouched iWeb, but also with changes to iPhoto.įor a start - iLife '11 apps are still 32-bit only.
